The project implements the North-West perimeter, parallel to the access road, it features the entrance to the site and defines the link between secondary and tertiary assignments. Due to its position, it sets the frame and leads the potential for expansion of the Agroscope according to two main axes. The first axis, dedicated to the administrative and research program, extends the system of the new building to the east, along the two main routes. The second axis, devoted to agricultural and livestock activities, develops southwards in continuity with the existing building. The building is conceived as a host structure. The construction method poles-slabs is organized on a 7.20m frame, service cores, including vertical circulation and service shafts, provide the vertical distribution, thus ensuring maximum flexibility of the interior partitions. The continuous window strips and independent façade cladding allow for greater freedom of use. The skin of the building made of taut metal fabric operates as a filter, it offers ideal working conditions by all conditions, limiting sun glare on work surfaces and screens while maintaining an optimal view of the surrounding landscape. These multiple qualities guarantee the Minergie Eco standard, in a resolutely economic perspective. At the center of the building, a generous atrium acts as a meeting place. It brings together the horizontal and vertical circulations as well as the break areas and meeting rooms. These are designed as hanging gardens that invite nature to the heart of the project.
